Expression of Interest for the Engagement of Audit Compliance Project Manager

The Lands Authority through this Expression of Interest (EOI) invites eligible candidates interested in being engaged in a contract for service of an Audit Compliance Project Manager. The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of projects related to audit, regulatory, and audit compliance within the organization. This role ensures that audit requirements are eƯectively integrated into business operations through project coordination, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

The service shall commence upon the last signature on the Service Contract

Remuneration shall be at the rate of €35.00 excluding VAT per hour.

1. Specific Objectives

A. Project Management

  1. Lead and manage end-to-end audit and compliance related projects from initiation to completion
  2. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones and budgets
  3. Coordinate cross functional teams including audit, compliance, finance, and external consultants
  4. Track project progress and deliverables; ensure timely completion within scope and budget
  5. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies

B. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

  1. Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance frameworks and internal controls
  2. Ensure audit and regulatory requirements are integrated into project planning and execution

C. Audit Support

  1. Coordinate internal and external audit compliance audits
  2. Prepare audit documentation, reports, responses to findings and recommendations
  3. Monitor remediation efforts and follow-up actions post-audit
  4. Ensure audit trails and project documentation meet compliance and legal standards

D. Policy & Process Development

  1. Help design and update compliance policies, procedures and standards
  2. Work with internal departments to align business processes with legal requirements
  3. Promote awareness and training on audit and compliance obligations within project teams

E. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  1. Act as the point of contact between audit/compliance teams and business units during projects
  2. Prepare regular reports and dashboards on compliance project status, risks and issues for leadership.
  3. Facilitate meetings and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies when required

F. Technology and Documentation

  1. Implement and manage audit and compliance tools
  2. Maintain accurate and organised project and compliance documentation
  3. Ensure secure handling of confidential legal and audit related information

2. Eligibility

  1. Eligible candidates shall be able to communicate fluently, verbally and in writing in both Maltese and English
  2. Shall be in possession of a minimum MQF Level 5 education in a) business management and/or b) project management
  3. Shall have a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience within a audit environment

3. Disclosure of Information

All documentation shall be deemed the property of the Lands Authority, and no one is authorised to share, disclose, or use any related information regarding the assigned tasks either for personal or nonpersonal purposes.
