Expression of Interest for the Engagement of Clerical Officer – Accounts for the Lands Authority
The Lands Authority (LA), through this Expression of Interest (EOI), invites eligible candidates interested in being engaged in a contract for service of Clerical Officer for a definite contract period of twelve (12) months.
The scope of the work of the engaged Clerical OƯicer is to carry out routine daily tasks in accordance with policies, procedures, or instructions issued from time to time by the Authority’s Top Management.
Schedule: twenty-five (25) hours weekly; Monday to Friday; flexible
Place of acceptance: On site
Remuneration: pegged to Grade D LA/GWU Collective Agreement Year 2025-2028 equivalent to of €14.30 per hour for the year 2026, excluding VAT.
1. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, review, and action the finance generic inbox daily
- Manage and organise supplier invoices, ensuring standard procedures are followed and required approvals are obtained
- Prepare and execute supplier payment runs.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Post transactions and journals on financial management system.
- Reconcile VAT receipts
- Maintain and organise the finance filing system (electronic and physical)
- Process finance-related emails and telephone queries in a timely and professional manner
2. Quality Assurance
- To deliver good quality work, accurate reports, and information, both within LA and externally.
- To provide a high level of service and support throughout.
- Follow through tasks assigned until completion.
3. Eligibility
The successful candidate shall be in possession of the following at the time of submission of the application for this call:
- MQF Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Accounting
AND/OR
MQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Accounting and any other subject
AND a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a similar environment. - Fluent in reading, writing and speaking of both English and Maltese Languages.
