Expression of Interest for the Engagement of Public Notaries and Lawyers for the Lands Authority

The Lands Authority, through this Expression of Interest (EOI), invites eligible candidates interested in being engaged in a contract for service of Lawyer or Notary Public for a task-based contract period.

The scope of the work of the engaged personnel shall be to prepare all necessary documents and searches to establish good title over property, leading to the publication of the deed, while all searches remain the property of the Lands Authority.

The service shall commence upon the last signature on the Service Contract.

The Consultant shall be paid a fee of €700 (excluding VAT) for every file and reimbursed for expenses related to public registry searches, land registry, notarial archives and any other costs related to the vetting of the file, against the submission of a fiscal VAT receipt.

  1. Specific Objectives:
      1. To compile all the necessary documents and searches to establish good title over the property in order to be able to proceed to the publication of the deed (all searches will remain the property of the Lands Authority)
      2. Examining root of title including the verification of all documents prior to the publication of the deed and if any documents are still required, informing the public or their legal advisors of what is required to be done prior to the publication of deed
      3. Examining plans and counterchecking with technical section to ensure proper root of title as well as verification with technical section with regard to the registration of property prior to publication of the deed
      4. Individual appointments with the public and/or their legal representative when any queries are raised
      5. Drafting of deeds
      6. Provide a signed root of title report upon completion of vetting of title
        N.B. – The Authority reserves the right to request the preparation of any or all of the tasks mentioned above.
  2. Eligibility
    Applicants shall be in possession of a valid Warrant (Advocate/Notary), at the time of submission of their application.
  3. Disclosure of Information
    All documentation shall be deemed the property of the Lands Authority, and no one is authorised to share, disclose, or use any related information regarding the assigned tasks either for personal or non-personal purposes.

    Candidates should submit their expression of interest through a cover letter, a copy of a EuroPass Curriculum Vitae, including a summary of qualifications and experiences, and a scanned copy of any relevant certificates via [email protected] by not later than 1600hrs (4pm Central European Time) of Friday 21st February 2025

    – The engagement of Lawyers / Notary Public is at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
    – The decision of the Selection Committee is final.
    – Eligible candidates will be required to sit for an interview.
    – The selected candidates may be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
