Carlo Mifsud
Carlo Mifsud is specialised in Finance, Business Systems and General Management. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Henley Business School, University of Reading, in the UK and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA. He is currently in the final stages of a Masters in Finance from ACCA. Throughout his career he held various roles within the private and public sector both in Malta and abroad. Between 2001 and 2008 he lived in the UK where he was based in London working with major consultancy firms in implementing a number of systems across a number of different industries such as financial services, not for profit, housing associations, betting and casinos, hotels, entertainment, construction, oil and gas, telecoms and various others. He specialised mainly in business requirements gathering, process mapping and re-engineering and business analysis in the process of implementing Accounting and ancillary systems such as Procurement, Time and Expense modules and various reporting tools. Within these projects he conducted a number of workshops and sessions with various members of staff within each organisation delivering changes to current systems and implementing a number of new systems.
His work has taken him to a number of countries across Europe, North Africa and North America where he worked for major clients such as Vodafone, HSBC, Island Hotels Group, Repsol, Citi Bank, Bank of America, Seatwave, GMTV, Sense, Prudential Property Management, Stanley Casinos, IG Index, Sanctuary Housing, Davenham plc, Kentech plc, IYF, Sandy Lane Hotel and many more.
Carlo is also Prince2® Certified Practitioner and acted as a project manager on a number of different projects both locally and abroad.
He also held various finance roles in a number of different organisations in his career, more recently as the Chief Financial Officer of the Malta Gaming Authority where he was responsible for the overall finance, IT and administration functions and previously as Financial Controller and Accountant for a number of companies within one of Malta’s largest family owned businesses.
He is a keen sports administrator having held a number of roles within different sports clubs with the main aim to promote sports, improve the facilities of these clubs and provide adequate training facilities and conditions to their members especially within the youth nursery setup.
He is also keen to continue developing his knowledge and attends various courses, conferences and networking events whenever possible.
He is married to Frances and has 3 children.
